I have wanted to teach my entire life. I love helping students believe in themselves and realize their own potential through positive reinforcement and high standards. While high standards are important, I also like to have fun with kids. I feel it’s important for them to see me have fun while learning. Getting into character is part of my teaching style. I like to bring as much experience into the classroom to make learning more tangible for the students.
I earned my bachelor’s degree and teaching credential at CSUSM, and my master’s degree in elementary literacy from Walden University. Prior to working here in Oceanside, I taught in elementary school for 5 years in Temecula, and then for three years in middle school in Escondido as an English and social studies teacher, and then I taught for 3 months in a 12th grade AP Literature class. I am so excited to work here with this amazing staff at Lincoln Middle School.
